Penguin Safari

This slot by Capecod completely resembles the animated movie Madagascar but without any actual link to the Dreamworks movie. The main character, Penguin, joins his animal friends on the beach for an adventure that might increase your bankroll.

Theme

This is a 5-reel and 40-payline game. The reels are set to the left of the screen while to the right you will find the Penguin and a few of his friends closely watching you and offering some of their luck. The reels are not held in place while the symbols, that drop from the top, are in shapes of ice cubes just to keep you cool while spinning. Symbols in the game include a deck of cards from 10 to A done out of wood, a Lemur, a Hippo, a Giraffe, a Zebra, a Lion, the Penguin and the Wild symbol. Playing and betting bottoms are scattered around the bottom of the screen, and honestly the settings and the pay-table are awkwardly hidden at the bottom right. The background is a beach sight as seen from the nearby forest and the background music is a catchy little tune that’s on loop.

Betting Options, Functions and Features

In the Penguin Safari you will have to adjust a couple of things, first the number of lines used for play ranging from 1 to 40 and secondly the value of the bet per line that ranges from $0.01 to $0.50 making the highest bet per spin $20.00. The game includes a Wild that will replace any symbol on the reels except the Scatter. The lion, being the king of the Jungle is the highest paying symbol while the deck of cards used is on the lower paying end. The Scatter illustrated as the Penguin is the Scatter and to trigger the Bonus game you must get 5 of them across all five reels. Once the Bonus game starts, you will have an option to choose 3 out of 5 penguins on the reels and each will have a number of free-spins awarded. During this feature, the Penguin symbol will come in sizes of 1, 2 and 3 and will substitute the wild to help form a larger winning combination.

Our Take

Graphics are beautifully done and the animals very nicely illustrated in this smooth playing slot. The music can be irritating to some of the players, but it’s very catchy as well. The slot offers a bonus game which is very hard to hit, but once you do the chance of winning one of the games, Silver, Gold or Platinum Jackpots increase.
