Golden Eagle Casino

This casino is owned and operated by the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas. Many locals visit the casino. There isn’t much in terms of entertainment, amenities or dining but the casino is packed with gaming and that’s what matter right? Players will find everything from Bingo to Poker and everything in between.

Gaming

The Eagle’s Nest Poker Room features Texas Hold’em Tournaments and Omaha High/Lo games. Bingo is played in the Golden Eagle Casino Entertainment Center. Bingo packages go on sale two hours before the games begin. Bingo session take place from Wednesday through Sunday with Buy One Get One Free specials and other discounts. Table Games include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and 3 Card Poker. The casino floor is also filled with a variety of Slot Games. All the latest Slots are available from Michael Jackson King of Pop, Grease and so many more in a variety of denominations.

Hotel/Accommodations

The casino does not offer any hotel accommodations on site; however there are several nearby for guests to consider. Here are a few options: Super 8 Hotel Holton, Red Roof Inn Holton, Americinn Atchison, Super 8 Atchison, Settle Inn & Suites Seneca, Super 8 Hotel Mound City, Holiday Inn St Joseph and Hampton Inn St Joseph. Some of the hotels are several miles from the casino but in any case, guests must arrange transportation to and from their hotel to the casino.

Dining

There is one place to dine on the property. The casino restaurant serves breakfast on certain day, lunch and dinner. Breakfast offers a selection of menu items or you can opt for the breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner is also served buffet style. Each day is another theme such as Italian Day, Crab Legs, Taco Day, Rib Eye Steak, Catfish Day and Prime Rib & BBQ.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Entertainment is in the eye of the beholder. This casino lists details of the pick-up of guests aged 21 and over every Tuesday from the local Sr. Citizen Center as entertainment. If you’re looking for lounges, bars, clubs, activities or shows, you won’t find it at the casino. The town of Horton has about 2,000 residents and not much in the way of attractions. Stick with the casino games for your entertainment!
