  • Hi, poker enthusiasts!

I've recently delved into the world of poker and would love to learn more about your favorite strategies and tips that have helped you improve your game. Here are a few questions to kick off the discussion:
What is your favorite poker strategy and why?
Do you have any advice for beginners who are just starting to play poker?
What books or poker resources would you recommend for learning?
How do you deal with losing streaks and stay motivated?
Which poker variants do you enjoy the most and why?

I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts and discussing any aspects of this exciting game. Let’s share our knowledge and help each other become better at poker!

Topic: How to Improve Your Poker Skills?

    Hi, poker community!

I've been playing poker at an amateur level for several years now and recently decided that I want to seriously improve my skills. I enjoy both online games and live tournaments, but I often notice that I make the same mistakes or just can't seem to reach the next level.

I'd like to discuss a few questions with you:

    1. Books and Resources: What books or online resources on strategy and poker psychology would you recommend? Maybe someone can suggest good video tutorials or YouTube channels.

    2. Practice and Analysis: Do you think it's better to play more hands to gain experience, or spend more time analyzing played hands and studying theory? What tools do you use for analysis?

    3. Psychology and Emotional Control: It seems to me that one of my main enemies is emotions. Sometimes I just can't handle tilt. What techniques or exercises help you stay calm and focused during the game?

    4. Community and Discussions: How important is it for you to communicate with other players? Do you participate in discussions on forums or visit poker clubs? How does this help you develop?

    5. Bankroll Management: What bankroll management strategy do you follow? How do you find the balance between risk and conservatism?

I would be very grateful for any advice and recommendations! I hope this topic will help not only me but also other players looking to improve their game. Good luck at the tables, everyone!

  • Improving your poker skills is a multi-faceted process, involving a blend of theory, practice, emotional control, community engagement, and proper bankroll management.

Books: "The Theory of Poker" by David Sklansky, "Harrington on Hold'em" series by Dan Harrington, "Super System" by Doyle Brunson, and "Mental Game of Poker" by Jared Tendler.

Also, almost every poker room has a YouTube Channel with useful information.

Playing more hands helps you gain experience and recognize patterns, but it's crucial to analyze your hands to understand mistakes and improve. Take regular breaks to avoid fatigue and maintain focus.

Allocate a specific amount for poker that you can afford to lose.

Play stakes appropriate to your bankroll. A common rule is to have at least 20-30 buy-ins for cash games and 50-100 buy-ins for tournaments. Stick to your bankroll plan and avoid moving up in stakes to recover losses quickly.

  • Why not first learn poker art after that player will make a bet. Poker is like a slot but in slot luck rules 100% but in this game with luck players mind also make contribution to win.
If player will learn this skill then he can think that he is eligible to sit on the table and give tough time to his opponents.

  • Hi everyone,

I'm looking to improve my poker skills and would love some recommendations on the best online poker training resources. Are there any websites, courses, or apps that you’ve found particularly helpful? I'm interested in both free and paid options. Also, any tips on how to practice effectively and apply what I learn in real games?

Appreciate any advice or personal experiences you can share. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Looking forward to your suggestions!

  • i can recommend daniel negreanu, he have plenty of videos about poker on youtube. He talks a lot about strategy in every situation, and soon he will start streaming again, so i always watching him.
