    • I had dream that bitcoin price will rise until $5k at the end of this year. But my prediction will not mre change in price for this month..
  • BTC been on a slight decline as of recently . Will see how it goes.

  • Yeah,  I had a feeling it would stabilize for a while just like markets correcting themselves after a wild run.   Of course like I said earlier,  once that max.  number is mined,  I think we're going to see a sharp increase again.   It might go up and down a bit but I really don't think it's going to dip below $2000 at this point....would be very surprised if it did.

  • the price came down to $2050 today...

    Hi LCB'ers,

so we all know how volatile this cryptocurrency can be. As of lately it has been on a steady rise ( granted with couple of hiccups ) and its currently sitting at around $1200 for one BTC ( crazy huh? ).

Now please cast your votes whether you think its possible to hit $500,000 as some experts are predicting : https://lcb.org/news/bitcoin-worth-500k-by-2030

At the time i post it, Bitcoin prize already hit more than $2k ++

But like you said at yours tittle thread and yours poll, its almost impossible for bitcoin prize hit $500k/BTC even for more than 50years laters..

In my personal analyze, this prize will rise month by month after each big country legalize BTC as currency or after any Big company use/received BTC as one of they  payment.

  • Hello! Tell me please those who understand bitkoin is it worth buying them now, in storing and keeping them? Is time is not wasted and it is too late to acquire them? The course of its such non-permanent changes dramatically, thank you in advance for advice, for answers.

  • We couldn't know for sure, but it would certainly raise drastically, 500 000$ -I don't know sound sound crazy...but it would of sound that way few years back for the current rate so who knows...

  • I thnk not, but I can't say I know enough to predict that precisly, still I don't believe it would go that high.

  • I agree with many, perhaps it will rise uniquely, but not so much.

  • Same like mu vote above, i think bitcoin price would be ride year after year, but Iding believe itu id ut price would hitam half millionaire, even if you asking and yours predict it foto the next 12 years from now.

Even from the last 1 weeks condition, Theresia ia a chance that bitcoin would be wipe out forever

  • Bitcoin price breached $3100 early this morning!

  • Wow!!  Zuga, I had a feeling that whole fork thing would have a strange rebound effect.   It seems a lot of the exchanges and processors just want to deal with the regular good 'ol Bitcoin.....fine with me!!

  • It won't be useful in few years. Price for transactions will go up and proccessing will be slower and slower.

  • Yeah I have noticed the fees have gone up considerably. That's probably my biggest issue with Bitcoin.

  • Also quantum computer will be able to hack your bitcoin keys within 1 minute and it's just a matter of time when they will be made. Google and other companies are working on them. Sadly bitcoin has no future.

  • BTC price breached $3,800!

  • Yeah, I had a feeling it would stabilize for a while just like markets correcting themselves after a wild run. • still going up !  sitting around $4,300 atm

  • may hit 5 grand them crash to 2000

i think need be accesible for all kind peoples to understand value

Then how much do i need to buy Bitcoins and what iis the minumum number of Bitcoins can i buy ?

  • It's over hyped...

Without "real money" a currency you can hold in your hand, the bitcoin will be nothing. You can't simply compare it with or measure its worth. My explanation sucks a little, I can't do a better rephrase, I'm sorry. Those who can think at the same level are welcome to argue.

It's good to make a quick buck when you are lucky investing in it, but in the long run not so much.

  • You make a good point Just1million,  and yet,  here we are. The "value"  of Bitcoin is higher than ever.     Lots of people  do a lot of shopping and buying stuff online and are content to have a  "paperless" currency.   I don't  think it's going away any time soon.  I could be wrong, but I think it's just too popular at this point.

  • so theres definitely a crypto bubble ready to burst.only matter of time really

on that note here is the reason for the crypto decline in the last couple of days https://techcrunch.com/2017/09/04/chinas-central-bank-has-banned-icos/

  • For sure there are a large number of new infant cryptocurrencys that will fail. But I believe Bitcoin has reached a level of maturity and creditworthiness to be fairly confident its not in danger of being a bubble. Its remains volatile and trading is more spaculation than a safe investment. But its not going anywhere in my opinion. People love it too much. And the demand and volume of trading is very healthy.

  • I'm asuming you refer to the intrinsic value of money. like gold coins. But Bitcoin is a currency since its a ligitimite medium for exchange.

They already have bitcoin ATM's all around North America. Simply access your wallet though the interface and withdraw Dollors based on the current exchange rate.

Many people are reluctant to get involved with bitcoin or create a wallet because they fear it might be a bubble.

But in the words of the 'Oracle of Omaha'

Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”

    -Warren Buffett -

  • I just hope a few  people don't ruin a good thing for us.....I almost think Bitcoin is a victim of its own success.

  • Wouldnt surprise me at all because it recently did go up 3x so it would be very nice to see.

i think no matter what happens in future ( bubble burst or not ) , BTC is here to stay. Now the most important question is it going to be worth as much or not.

If ( when ) the bubble happens all crypto will lose their value ( most of them would cease to exist) and BTC too will be affected.

but once dust settles it will start growing again , at least thats where i would bet my money on...

  • accoridng to this article its not a crash we are seeing but a "correction" , source - https://www.coindesk.com/correction-not-crash-bitcoin-price-eyes-3000-traders-take-profits/

  • I don't think people can  make predictions about Bitcoin  based on how their stocks or bonds behave.   I think it's a whole different animal.   I  mean  I don't think we even had "cryptocurrency"  10 years ago.   This is uncharted territory.   We all can't even agree with how to define it as it's intangible.  Yeah,  I don't think it's a crash either Zuga. I think it is a "correction"  of some sort.

  • there is definitely a bubble and its only a matter of time when it will burst ( something similar to .com bubble back in a day ).

But i think when that happens it will only strengthen BTC ( long term speaking ) and weed out all the shitty crypto's that are popping out every month.

  • Well you have to think compared to years ago... there wasn't a lot of "investment" in alt coins.  These days the only reason why BTC isn't falling rapidly like it did the last time something of the magnatude happened.  Like Mt Gox or the now new China news.

Mainly we have BTC more spread out over different spectrums than before, we have lots of contracts out in alt coins than we ever did before.  Quite a bit invested in general in people's hard wallets.

I don't see it totally tanking but I do think we were overdue for some price adjustment.  The price in my opinion went up way too fast, too quickly.   Yet I also do think this is the time when were also seeing quite a few exchanges being shook out as they prove they didn't have near the amount of fiat available to cash out all of coins that folks wanted.

  • Yeah, I think people are going overboard with all these different "cryptos".    I  still like Bitcoin the most as it was the first I believe and had spread rapidly in merchants acceptance of it,  infrastructure,  accountability, etc.   I'm a creature of habit and I think it would take a lot to get me to change to another.    I  also feel that once China makes a decision one way or another,   Bitcoin will start to increase in value again.  Like the stock market, I think investors hate uncertainty.

  • pretty sure after the price adjustment happens we will see bitcoin slowly recover. Now i believe that BTC is here to stay as its popularity is ever increasing.

the more ppl and use it to not just trade but purchase/exhancge goods etc, like in our case with casinos, the more bitcoin is in use the stronger its position it will get .

  • seems btc is recovering, just broke $4000 agai

  • I invested in bitcoins a year ago, and I didn't regret it for a minute, I was able to triple my contribution. I think this currency is the future for gambling and a fresh gulp of air for the world economy.

  • BTC has been recouping for the past week or so. Now sitting rather comfortably at around  $4330

  • Yeah,  I noticed the "hiccups"  don't seem as major now.   A few dollars or a couple hundred here or there up or down  and then it's stable for a while.    I  don't have a problem with that.

  • bongo wrote:

    neither do I coolgrin

  • well well well $4640 BTC price right now!

an interesting take on the recent price and expectations:

    moneymoneymoney

  • getting closer to $6,000!  surprise

  • I have recently started to invest in Bitcoin and I do hope it will reach 500K in 2030, that would probably mean early retirement for me ;)

Jokes aside, I expect the price to go through the roof if China will lift the ban on Bitcoin transactions.

  • zuga wrote:

It hit 6,000 for a few minutes today, then dropped around 5,950 but I guess it will return past the 6K mark and stay there for a week or so.

getting crazy, just this time last year it was worth 10x less

  • Yeah, I don't think too many people are laughing now at these wild predictions.....LMAO!!...uh,  wait a minute... I read somewhere that around  16.5 million Bitcoins have already been mined.   Any estimates on when they will reach the 21 million mark?

  • bongo wrote:

Probably never, mining difficulty will increase and even though we should get close to 21 million we'll probably never get there. However, some say that we could get to 21 million in 2140.

  • the price just got over $6K again! giddy up! embarrassedlaugh_out_loud

  • Oh Man....I could just kick myself.   When I think about  2 years ago I won 3 Bitcoins at a site,   I cashed out  2500 mBTC  (worth around $900)  at the time.   I thought about leaving 1 Bitcoin in a wallet to see what would happen over time and the rest is ...................I  can't talk about it.................sad

  • 6,880 at the moment, the 7K barrier will be broken soon!

  • it was close to 7100 today, now is 6.950. i'm going to invest this week, i can't resist.
