Back Push Gaming Experiments with Dystopian Themes in Samurai’s Katana Slot

Seeking inspiration in diverse places, Push Gaming, an innovative provider of captivating online slots has once again enlarged its catalog with an action-packed adventure. Named Samurai’s Katana, the newly launched installment brings one of the players’ favorite themes combined with an excellent selection of features.

Organized as a 5x4 grid, this dystopian game contains 20 paylines, high volatility, and flexible return to player percentage spanning from 94.31% to 96.40%. Filled with a theoretical max win of up to 10,000x, this title has all the necessary ingredients to provide notably high winning opportunities.

Homage to Samurai

Situated against the predominantly pink neon city, the reel set of Samurai’s Katana by Push Gaming brings a well-illustrated selection of themed symbols, which act as the higher-value ones. Card deck letters and common low-value icons are incorporated as well, but designed in a way to match the overall atmosphere.

Spicing up the atmosphere is the glorious soundtrack, which adds another layer of excitement to the gameplay. Fantastic sound effects accentuate the moment when features and winning combos appear on the reels, resulting in a highly engaging session.

Anastasiia Mysan, Game Producer at Push Gaming, commented on the launch:

“Samurai’s Katana has allowed us to develop a fresh take on popular gameplay features married to a hot theme. The addition of instant prizes that pay both ways when forming at least three-of-a-kind matching combinations with wilds is key to the experience.”

Initially crafted as part of the religious ceremony, Katana which is also known as the Samurai Sword, was tested on corpses and criminals back in the day. Interestingly, it wasn’t used as a weapon so often, but it rather represented social status.

An Engaging Line-Up of Features

Do you remember the Nudging Wilds mechanic popularised by Tiki Tumble? Prepare to greet it again, as the feature is back in Samurai’s Katana, ready to provide memorable gaming moments.

When the Wild Stack feature hits the reels, it nudges one position while the remaining reels continue to rotate as usual. The process goes on until all the Wild Stack icons are removed from the reels. That’s how Nudging Wilds Feature works, but it’s not the only element that can be seen in Samurai’s Katana.

There’s Scatter Symbol which only appears on the first reel, and the Gamble Scatter Symbol, which can be seen on the fifth reel. When these two are found on the reels at the same time, the Gamble Feature is initiated, granting players multipliers or wild stacks. Finally, the game also contains an FS feature.

Overview of This Year’s Additions

Just in time to add more fun to the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Push Gaming unveiled the Shamrock Saints slot, a beautiful tribute to colorful Irish folklore. Occupying a 5x4 diagram, this release brought Mystery Symbols which activate the Nudge & Reveal feature, and Leprechaun Reveal Feature with interesting ingredients such as Instant Prize Symbols, Multipliers, Collectors, and so on.

Full of honey, flowers, and crowns, Wild Swarm 2 treated players with Chest Feature with Hidden Chest Prizes and Collectable Bees.

Situated in the Arctic, Big Bite, the wintery adventure came with quite an interesting highlight- the expanding reel grid for more winning opportunities. Hearts Highway captured the attention with its all-time popular vintage symbols, and interesting features, such as Red Heart Symbol, Golden Heart Symbol, and Heart Slot Feature, among others.
