An open forum is a place of many wonders. Instant access to a never-ending influx of opinions, jokes, tips, chit-chat, good-natured discussions and yes...even quarrels.

Our very own LCB forum goes many wonderful years back - an enormous repository of discourse on subjects we love, fond memories that are safely stored and available for gamers and everyone else to enjoy and to learn from daily.

And though we read many interesting tales...

..once in a while, you'll come across a truly heartening story about an honest player AND and honest casino come to a quick, and mutually satisfying resolution of (dare we say) a very delicate situation.

What's this about:

Well, our member quball, based in the USA, got a shock of every gambler's life this November! He woke up to a LARGE sum of money peering out quizzically out of his Bitcoin wallet - courtesy of FairGo Casino.

So? - you might ask.

Trouble is - he NEVER won this prize in the first place, and was quite puzzled as to the origins of it! We'll tell you right now - it was a mistake on the part of the operator (insert sad and disappointed emoji)

And...

...you know what he did? Gave it all back!

There's more - the site was touched by this player's virtuous conduct, and being regretful about the incident, they TOO gave him something in return. They do live up to their name - fair is always the way to play.

We thought you might want to hear more about this unlikely event from quiball himself, who, being a great guy, agreed to an interview with us!

Must have been a real shocker to see a $ 8,657.00 US deposit AND a $120.15 AUS withdrawal materialize out of nowhere right into your Bitcoin wallet! What went through your mind at that moment? Was it the hesitant ''What to do, what to do...', or the good honest ''Nah, I'm sending this money back to whomever it belongs''?

It was about 6:30am I was just getting out bed when my phone buzzed me with a new text that was from my blockchain wallet. So I logged on to my wallet and sure enough, someone had just made a deposit of $8,657.00 US. A few minutes later I received an e-mail from Fairgo Casino that they just processed my Bitcoin withdrawal for 120.15 AUS. But no deposit for that amount.

So after I had my coffee I checked my wallet again but still no deposit from Fairgo. I then sent an e-mail to them asking if they could confirm that my Bitcoin withdrawal was processed for $120.15 AUS. and they did confirm that they did sent 120.15 AUS to my wallet. At that point, I knew the money was from them because it was the same address that I requested the withdrawal with ( I use a new address each time I request a withdrawal).

So no I never gave it a second thought about returning it. My only thought was "How Long Will It Take Them To Discover Their Error And Come Looking For Their $8500 Overpayment" !!!!

Fair Go sent you an email the day after, to inform you the payment was made due to technical error, to request the return of the difference in BTC paid, and to apologize for any inconvenience caused. What a blunder on the part of the casino, don't you think? Has this ever happened to you before?

No, never had that happen before. It was obvious someone made a mistake and I sure hope they did not get Fired over it!!!

Clear conscience is the softest pillow - yes or no?

Absolutely

In the topic where you posted about the incident, LCB'ers expressed a desire to see Fair Go make it up to you somehow - a nice bonus, or even a thank you card. And they did - what a nice gesture! Did you like their gift of gratuity?

Yes, they sent a very nice gift from Gift Tree that held 3 Bottles of Napa Valley Wine and a large assortment of treats. It will be perfect for Thanksgiving at our family dinner!! Also attached was a very nice thank you note.

Why choose Fair Go Casino as your gaming hub? What do you like about the place?

They are one of several RTG's that I play at that have a high RTP (97.5% or higher) on slots and video poker (99% plus). I can also count on getting paid in 3 days. (not weekends).

Is online gaming one of your favorite pastimes? How would you describe yourself as a gamer, and what kind of games do you prefer?

Yes, along with playing poker online. I am 64 years old and retired with plenty of time on my hands to fill. I prefer Video Poker but enjoy playing slots where the RTP ( return to player) is acceptable.

How long have you been a member of LCB? What do you like best about the portal? Is there something you think would improve the overall experience for your fellow members?

I've been a member for about a year and a half. I like the news section and casino reviews from other players also the casino rep. section. Also the help I got from MelissaA in collecting funds from a rogue casino group ( I think we all know who they are without saying any names).

I really like the portal the way it is.

Being a US-based player, what are your thoughts about the ongoing online gambling debate, promising new regulations that will hopefully bring some positive changes for the local market and online gambling community in the country? How do you get by, considering the current climate is not very welcoming to internet wagering in general?

Its not something that I give a second thought to because Bitcoin is accepted by all poker rooms and casinos that I play at. Without bitcoin I doubt very much if I would be playing.

As always - would you kindly give a tip or a word of advice to LCB'ers on how to get the most of their gaming exploits? What works for you to keep the sparks flying, the passion alive, and the bankroll nice and plump? :)

About the only advice, I could give is read the casino reviews and search online for a casino's RTP before investing your money and time in any of them!!

There you go, folks! Trustworthy players and casinos make the online gaming community a nice place to be, do they?

Thank you quball for taking the time to share your story with LCB, on the forums, and in this interview. And of course, thank you both quball and FairGo Casino for doing the RIGHT thing!

Mistakes happen, but we shouldn't hold a grudge when they're inadvertent, and there's sense in both parties to try and resolve the matter the civilized way.

And what about you, dear members? Would you do the same?
