Back I’d Be a Winner if it Weren’t for Losing

Welcome to the loser’s corner, yes that is me! I have roamed the Midwest in search of lady luck leaving me with one serious question: “where the freak is she”? How can I possibly write a blog when I have nothing to report….then it hit me……losers have stories too. In fact, there are more loser stories than winning ones. Misery loves company right, besides know wants to think they are the only biggest loser in the world.

We have all heard of the expression “everything she touches turns to gold” well I have one for the underdog, deadbeat, defeated, failure, flunkee that I am: everything I touch turns crashes and burns!

Talk to some of my friends and they would say I was just acting like a spoiled brat because I am so use to winning more often than the average bear. Although this may be true it doesn’t mean I don’t have the right to pout does it?

It has been nearly a month and I have been to Rivers and Harrah’s Casino in Joliet, crossed the Illinois state line to Indiana and headed to Horseshoe Casino and Blue Chip. Nada folks, I mean I was lucky to hit a cherry on my machine.

Alright, I need to shake this losing streak and try a Casino I have not played at in a very long time. Hmm, then it hits me, Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo Indiana.

I grab my side kick gambling buddy Ms. froggy and we take an hour and half road trip there and trust me when I tell you, I didn’t have to twist her arm either! On the ride their we stop to grab a snack at the only gas station we know of that has Chicago style popcorn…..wow and let me tell you it is good filled with cheesy and caramel corn. It has become a must-have on our Indiana trips.

I really do love Four Winds, it is a massive resort filled with shops, restaurants and plenty of gaming. I went over to video poker played nickels, dimes and quarters and went through $200 in about 30 minutes’ time.

Time to change my game play and tryout brand new slots I have never played like Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead II and hit nothing. I have one last chance left with $50 in purse when I spot The Big Bang Theory slot.

Here it goes all or nothing…….and nothing it was. I walk away with my head hung low and my spirits even lower when find Froggy winning up a storm. Well at least I know who’s buying dinner tonight.

“Here it goes all or nothing…….and nothing it was.”
