A new puppy will certainly help soothe a broken heart while grieving over the loss of my lady Hazel. I purchased a Victorian Bulldog at just 8 weeks old and she is a crazy, adorable one for sure! When I entered, the pet store the last thing on my mind was to buy this breed. But you know how it goes, you see a butterball bundle in a cage looking at you with those sad eyes and your heart melts.
I have had her now for about 3 weeks and must admit it took me a minute to get attached to her after my loss. It has been the best purchase I have made in a long time, a wise decision and now I am head over heels for this little cutie pie.
In honor of her, I decided to play Crazy Times Poker at Grand Victoria Riverboat Casino. This is one of my favorite spots for video poker because not only do they have a nice variety but there are nickel/dime machines.
I was on the three-line Triple Double game sailing along after slipping a $100 bill in the machine when three 4’s was dealt to me. I took a deep breath and said: “I’m calling on all the gambling Gods out there puhhhleeez deal me another 4”!
I click that draw button and bam a 4 on line one, double whammy a 4 on line two with the kicker and a triple header 4 on line three. I was bowled over with excitement when a cool cold hard cash total came up for $805 smackaroos!
Playing a hunch on "crazy" paid off and I couldn’t help but thank my new puppy Mable so I bought her a new bed and a few toys.
It was an awesome day and even better to go home to wiggling pup thrilled to death to see me.
