Back Cryptocurrency Site Among Most Visited

This year, we’ve seen an unprecedented ascent of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies alike. 2017 is truly shaping up to be the year when digital currencies became ‘mainstream’ as they have quickly become the talk of the town. There are numerous signs and symptoms confirming this, most of which we’ve covered here on LCB, and more keep on coming every day. One of them is the amazing advent of coinmarketcap.com whose increase in popularity should tell you a thing of two about the future of cryptocurrencies.

Get this: if a website is ranked as the 1049th most visited in the world in one month, and then a month later it’s 379th (263rd in the US and 212th in the UK), then it means something significant is happening. Those are exactly the figures that Coinmarketcap has gone through in the last month. This is according to Alexa, the world’s most accurate and most widely used site-ranking website. This amazing spike and movement up the list for almost 700 places in such a short period of time is truly a feat. This, of course, coincides with the cryptocurrency boom we were talking about earlier.

The biggest amount of visitors hails from the USA – 22.65%, followed by the UK, Germany, India and Japan. Google, Bittrex and YouTube are the most common places from which the traffic to Coinmarketcap arrives and the website’s search engine traffic has been on the constant increase since April. It is interesting to note that the most frequent keyword used to reach the site with is, ‘ethereum.’
