Our diligent team of iGaming sleuths and investigators recently commenced an operation with the sole aim of establishing whether the claims that Leo Monaco (now rebranded to Leon Monaco) online casino hosts pirated games by several notable providers.
The outcome of this investigation suggests that, based on the evidence gathered, the games are indeed not genuine and we advise caution to our members playing or thinking of playing at this casino.
The First Claim and the Maiden Proof
First suspicions were raised after one of the Affiliate Guard Dog Forum members flagged the casino as disingenuous by pointing out that its Novomatic slots are accessible from a Dutch IP and, supposedly, running on Curacao license.
Our team took these claims seriously and began addressing this matter immediately.
In the process, we have discovered that – in all likelihood, as the evidence suggests – Leon Monaco’s slot games by the likes of NetEnt, Novomatic, Amatic, EGT, Quickspin, Wazdan and numerous other providers are all counterfeit versions.
The Trail Leading to the Evidence
The investigation also points out thus far that 1x2 Gaming, Betixon, Booming Games, Evoplay, Iron Dog and Habanero titles are fair and square, but this is subject to another revision and confirmation.
Despite the possibility that these games are indeed bona fide, we advise our members against playing them, just to be on the safe side.
We assumed these games’ lack of integrity by looking into their host domain…
…which does not correspond to the only authentic host domain these games can normally be found on.
We traced back these fake games to slotomaticgames.com/slot-games, which states they offer mobile and clone games.
In their library, we found games that are no longer available, such as NetEnt’s Scarface. This also signals the unethical hosting of pirated and non-existent games.
Steer Clear of Leon Monaco
To us, this was the final piece of the puzzle that sealed the deal when it comes to Leon Monaco’s wrongdoings and predatory activity. Whether the said activity came knowingly or unknowingly on their behalf remains to be seen.
While we continue to investigate into the depth and breadth of Leon Monaco’s supposed rogue nature, we’d like to caution our members once again to keep away from this online casino while the matter is fully settled and the question of counterfeit games resolved in its entirety. When I scrolled over the rogue casino section where I found this article on LCB I encountered a huge number of casino names I had never heard of before and most of them were under suspicion of being shady. I wonder if counterfeit software give a much lower chance of winning, probably right? I am even more convinced now of staying with the tried and true licensed casino's I regularly use here in Denmark. I suppose online casino fraud is difficult to prosecute or is a low priority for law enforcement.
