Problem gambling specialists in the Czech Republic have linked drug addiction and gambling in an experiment that will continue until March 2019.
National anti-drug coordinator Jindřich Vobořil spoke to media stating that the national strategy includes gambling restriction but did not provide details on how this will be done.
Gambling will be part of addictive measures vocabulary after research has indicated that the region has a higher gaming machine per head of population ratio than the surrounding areas. Research also shows that online gambling is on the rise and continues to climb to alarming numbers.
Vobořil revealed that there are 170,000 adult Czechs at risk with nearly half developing gambling addictions.

I doubt it comes as a surprise to the vast majority of people that drug addiction and gambling addiction can be quite tightly linked.... after all I think it is well known that gaming can produce the same kind of buzz as drugs and people have the same psychological instinct of 'chasing the high', whatever their addiction...
I doubt it comes as a surprise to the vast majority of people that drug addiction and gambling addiction can be quite tightly linked.... after all I think it is well known that gaming can produce the same kind of buzz as drugs and people have the same psychological instinct of 'chasing the high', whatever their addiction might be. Of course its rare to hear this said out loud in Western European countries where gambling is heavily regulated and taxed of course..!!

I must say that I find all of that as discrimination. Also, Johnajax, I'm gambling since I'm of legal age but I don't see myself like a gambling addict, yes I like to...

I must say that I find all of that as discrimination. Also, Johnajax, I'm gambling since I'm of legal age but I don't see myself like a gambling addict, yes I like to play slots and a little roulette and I play for fun and for money, but I spend as much as I can spend without that loss affecting on my living. I really don't see something bad in that :D

Which is worst, I'm not sure, living in the Czech Republic, a parliamentary democracy that wants to restrict people who they think are addicts of one sort or another from online gambling or live in the United States, a representative democracy, that prohibits online gambling to everyone that does not live in a state where...
Which is worst, I'm not sure, living in the Czech Republic, a parliamentary democracy that wants to restrict people who they think are addicts of one sort or another from online gambling or live in the United States, a representative democracy, that prohibits online gambling to everyone that does not live in a state where it is legal and supports that states economy.
