Praegu panen siia enda tehtud pildid. Lilla rätik on Midara linasest, oranž on aga Aade Lõng 8/2 ja Angora 2 vaheldus.
Here are pictures taken by me. The lilac shawl is from Midara linen, the orange one is an alternation of Aade Lõng 8/2 and Angora 2.

Tore on, kui keegi koob mu õpetuste järgi. Instagramis jagas Ukraina kuduja @irenoknit augulise salli pilte. Temal on teine lõng, läti Dundaga, mis on ka villane ja üleminekuvärvides.
It is nice when someone knits my patterns. My Ukrainian friend @irenoknit shared her pictures of the eyelet scarf on Instagram. She used a different yarn, Latvian Dundaga that is also variegated wool.
Sviiter on valmis ja kuivab. On mingil määral lõngajääke. Võib-olla võiks nüüd jälle kududa augulise salli. Talv ei tagane veel niipea, nagu näha.
The sweater is finished and drdying. There are some yarn leftovers. Maybe I could knit such a scarf again. The winter is not retreating so far, as we see.

Teiseks, n-ö tavaelu variant (vt eelmine postitus) on saanud palju "laike" Facebookis ja nüüd arutame, kas teha kooskudumine. Kui soovite, siis võite kommenteerida siin. Küsimus on veel, kas teha Ravelrys või Facebooki rühm.
Second, so-called everyday version (see previous post) has got a lot of "likes" on Facebook and we are talking about a possible KAL. If you are interested, you can comment here. Another question is whether to do it on Ravelry or to make a group on Facebook.
 
Kolmandaks, töös on lihtne topp. Tegin teise pildi üsna heledaks, et triibud oleksid näha. Tegelikult on nad üsna nähtavad, aga pildil kipuvad ära kaduma. Lõng on puuvillase ja linase segu.
Third, I am working on a simple top. I made the second picture rather light in order to make the stripes visible. In real life they are quite visible but tend to disappear in the picture. The yuarn is cotton and linen blend.

Esiteks, lähipäevadel alustame Ravelrys kahe salli kooskudumist. Nagu näha, Liina meeldib paljudele, Ravelrys on lausa enimvaadatute õpetuste hulgas. Ka Viiv meeldib mõnele ja mulle on kirjutatud, et võiks teha kooskudumise. Kuna konstruktsioon on sama, erinevad on vaid mustriskeemid, siis võikski seda teha. Valige, kumba tahate, või võtke mõlemad!

First, in a couple of days we shall start a KAL of two scarves on Ravelry. As you can see, many like Liina; on Ravelry it is one of the most often viewed patterns. Some like Viiv as well and I have been asked to do a KAL. As the constructuion is the same and only the stitch pattern is different, we can do that. Choose what you like or make both!

Teiseks, lühikeste ridade rätik on valmis. Hiljem tulevad korralikud pildid ja muu info.
Second, short row shawl is completed. Somewhat later there will be proper pictures and more information.

Mõni aeg tagasi proovisin üht rätiku konstruktsiooni. Konstruktsioon töötaks, aga see lõngakombinatsioon on väga kapriisne, poolpatent ei olnud ilus. Selle konstruktsiooniga koon teisest lõngast, täitsa tahaks proovida. Tegin selle asemel üsna lihtsa ja mitte väga suure rätiku, mis kuivab (pilt on kehv, aga annab ettekujutuse).
Some time ago I tried a certain shawl costruction. The costruction would work but this particular yarn combination is very moody and half-brioche did not look nice. I will knit this construction with a different yarn, I would really like to try it out. Instead I made a rather simple and not a very large shawl that is drying (the picture is lousy but you can get an idea).

As you may know, ERKI Fashion Show is approaching. Here is a story about Kristiina Jeroman's collection (sorry, Estonian only but you can see some pictures of the collection). It is so nice of her to mention me. The show is on Satrurday, May 27. To remind, I am posting the picture many have already seen.

Mulle endale ootamatult jõudis üks ripsiga poolpatendis sviitritest Ravelry esilehele. Nüüd kirjutatakse ja küsitakse õpetust. Võib-olla teen retsepti (eesti keeles toimus kooskudumine Facebookis, aga nüüd oleks rahvusvaheline ja Ravelrys).
Quite unexpected for myself one of my garter stitch and half-brioche sweaters got to the first page in Ravelry. Now people are writing and asking for a pattern. Maybe I will make a recipe (Estonian KAL took place on Facebook and an international one would be on Ravelry).

Sall edeneb, see muster meeldib mulle. Kuna on soonikuõpõhine, siis kipub kokku tõmbuma, aga loodan, et pesu ja pingutamine aitab.
The scarf is growing and I like the stitch pattern. Since it is based on ribbing, the fabric tends to contract, yet I hope washing and blocking will help.

Vahepeal astusin Domus Linum poest läbi, kui seal oli hästi palju turiste. Mõni hakkas vaatama sealseid kudumeid, küsis õpetusi jms. Perenaine Külli pakkus siis minu raamatut, nii et sain autogramme jagada (Külli foto).
Meanwhile I popped into Domus Linum shop when there was a huge crowd of tourist. Some of them examined the sample knits there and asked about patterns etc. Külli, the owner, showed them my book, so I got a chance to sign some copies (photo by Külli).
Vahepeal sai valmis mohäärisviiter. Varsti panen üles n-ö ametlikud pildid.
Meanwhile I finished my mohair sweater. I will soon upload official pictures, so to say.
Jälle sirge varrukas. Mul on meeles, et lubasin sellest kirjutada. Kui korralikud pildid olemas, siis tuleb postitus.
Straight sleeve again. I remember my promis to write about it. Once I will have upladed proper photos, there will be a post.

Sviiter edeneb. Mõlemad varrukad on valmis, nüüd viimistlen ära kaeluse ja koon taljest alla. All pole uss, vaid varrukas.
The sweater is progressing. Both sleeves are finished and now I am going to finish the neck opening and to knit downwards from the waist. It is not a snake but a sleeve.
Uskumatu, kui ökonoomne on see lõng. Nagu mainitud, koon kahekordselt. Kerele kuni taljeni kulutasin ära 1 toki ja kahele varrukale on kulunud vähem, kui üks tokk. Võrdluseks poolik ja terve tokk.
It is unbelievable how economical this yarn is. As mentioned, I am knitting with two strands held double. I used up one ball for the torso from top to the waist and less than one ball for both sleeves. You can compare the rest of the second ball with the ball I have not yet started.

Nüüd on kiire aeg, teeme veel ettevalmistusi. Aga Postimees on meid märganud ja paigutanud ühe pildi. See on kevadiste piltide sarjast, kui oli hästi kiire ja pidime korraldajatele näitama vähemalt midagi.
It is a busy time now, we are still doing preparations. But Postimees (one of the largest Estonian daily papers) has noticed us and uploaded a picture of ours. The pictures is one of the spring series when we had very little time and had to show the organizers at least something.

Jutt on ikka sellest jakist. Australia kuduja Ravelry kasutajanimega happyhel on valmis kudunud ja esitanud võistlusele "Australian Alpaca Nationals" käsitöö sektsioonis Sydneys ja sai esikoha! Väga rõõmustav kuulda!
It is about this cardi. The Australian knitter happyhel on Ravelry has knitted the cardigan and entered her cardigan into the Australian Alpaca Nationals - Craft Section in Sydney and won the first place! I am happy to hear it!
Lõng on Alpaca Ultimate 4 ply (50 g/180 m).

Hiljuti palus kudumsidisainer Robin Hunter (knittingrobin Ravelrys) mult intervjuu. Olen väga meelitatud. Siin on mu vastused (inglise keeles). Üldiselt soovitan väga tema blogi, tal on iga nädal intervjuu mõne kudumisdisaineriga ja palju muud. Vastates küsimustele sain paar mõtet, millest võiksin kunagi pikemalt kirjutada. Andsin vabad käed fotode suhtes, andsin oma Pinteresti, FB ja blogi lingi ja palusin ise valida oma äranägemise järgi. Nii et väga huvitav on ka valik: kuidas teised näevad sinu tegemisi ja mida valitakse välja olulisena.
Recently Robin Hunter, a knitting designer (knittingrobin on Ravelry) asked for an interview with me. I am flattered. Here are my answeres. I highly recommend you her blog, she has an interview with a designer every week and there is a lot of other things there. While answering her questions, I got some ideas that I could discuss here later. I allowed to pick up whatever photos and gave my Pinterst, FB and blog links and ask to choose what she likes. So the choice is rather intriguing: how other people see your work and what they select as relevant.

Mõlemad kudumid on siidiga mohäärist. Topi krae on Dropsi Cotton Merino'st. Ülevalt alla, õmblusteta, muidugimõista. Mõlemal juhul on krae kootud viimasena.
Both knits are from silk mohair. The collar of the top is from Cotton Merino by Drops. Top down and seamless, needless to say. In both cases the collar was the last thing to knit.
