1THE9 was a nine-member South Korean project boy group signed under MBK Entertainment and managed by PocketDol Studio. The group was under an 18-month contract (originally 17 months).
The group was formed through the MBC survival show "Under Nineteen", which was aired every Saturday from November 3, 2018, to February 9, 2019. The final lineup, consisting of nine members, was announced during the final episode's live broadcast. Jeon Do Yum ranked first overall, therefore becoming the group's center. Jung Jin Sung ranked second, Kim Tae Woo ranked third, Shin Ye Chan ranked fourth, Jeong Taek Hyeon ranked fifth, Yoo Yong Ha ranked sixth, Park Sung Won ranked seventh, Lee Seung Hwan ranked eighth and, finally, Kim Jun Seo ranked ninth.
1THE9 released the pre-debut track "Domino" on April 7, 2019, before ultimately debuting on April 13, 2019, with the mini album "XIX".
On August 5, 2020, 1THE9 released their final mini album "Good Bye 1THE9". The album is a special gift to their fans prior to the group's disbandment.
1THE9 officially disbanded on August 8, 2020, as they were extended by a month due to the postponement of their comeback due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
