Iron Oxside Version 0.4 Is available!

First of all, wow, we hit 100 downloads!
… a little bit ago. We’ve already surpassed that milestone by now, which I never actually expected this game to even get anywhere close to, but I cannot thank you all enough to checking my little robot game out. This is a total passion project for me, and I never expected so many other people to take an interest in it. I am unbelievably blown away by the Iron Oxside’s reception.

To celebrate, the new version of Iron Oxside is releasing today! Version 0.4 adds the following:
- new lore
- a new GM section with additional tools including NPC creation guidance, tips for using Iron Oxside in a different setting, and advice on running the game
- DRASTICALLY improved formatting and layout
- much better writing, courtesy of my friend and editor @sleeps-with-scales
- character sheets!!

That’s right, I’ve finally got not just one but TWO character sheets to use: one is a printable PDF and the other is built within a spreadsheet. I hope these make running and playing Iron Oxside a lot easier for everyone.

But just in case they do not, I have one more thing to share with you courtesy of another Iron Oxside fan: an AUTOMATED character sheet! This sheet was designed by Qin-Metit who has kindly given me permission to share it with everyone else. It currently only supports a simple body plan, with two arms two hands a head and a legs, but we are collaborating to improve it and provide the maximum amount of flexibility it can get to and I am very excited to see where he goes with it in the future because it is insanely cool. You can grab a copy of it here!

Once again, thank you to everyone who has downloaded the game and given me feedback so far. I’m super excited to expand the book further and add support for ever more robot shenanigans.

My birthday is this friday so i’m putting everything on my itch.io on sale so I can maybe treat myself to something nice.

In theory Nubby’s Number Factory is about making numbers go up by playing peggle with a nearly Cruelty Squad art style and roguelite mechanics

In practice it’s also about trying to make the game lag while playing three hundred layered sound effects at once
