So I typed in “Car Jams” on Apple Music, and that song came up before any algorithm-driven driving playlist or anything like that. At that point, I was like, Shit, I need to drop an album of songs with titles that someone might hypothetically try to look up.

Musicians resort to trolling as a way of surviving the algorithm.

Got a couple of invites for Record Club. If anyone is interested in joining this small music discovery community let me know.

I think it will become the definitive “Letterboxd for albums” if they add user’s RSS feeds before RYM/Sonemic offers an API (it’s only been 9+ years of waiting!)

🍿 Watched Falling Down, 1993 - ★★★½

Another one that just couldn't be made today. So much wrong with it, but with more than a few flashes of brilliance and a incredible Douglas performance.

It seemed everyone I know watched this. Decided to watch thinking it was about a normal guy going psycho, it's more psycho goes nuclear. Had I known that I wouldn't have watched and would've deprived myself of quite a ride.

Today was warm, sunny and beautiful. Perfect excuse to go on a bike tour around the city.
