7 elements of art

Students will be learning about the 7 elements of art and how to take photos representing each element. Then Students will present to their peers.

These are well over due. I meant to post these in Sept, some how forgot to. These are 9x9 inch squares. Students divided the square into 8 pie pieces, 7 of which represent an element of design. Elements & Principles Four Corner Foldable Definitions go directly under the Element flap Principles go in the center Cut Poster Board 14 X 14 inches Fold in half and then in half again (guidelines optional) Open up and use the previous folds to guide folding each corner into the middle Use the corner points to split the four corners into 8 spaces with lines Open up and continue using the folded lines and points to divide the spaces Attached is a small 7 X 7 inch printable

Knowing the 7 elements of art (line, shape, form, space, texture, value and color) allows you to analyze, appreciate, write about, and discuss art.

After finishing up our graffiti unit, the next unit of focus in my Art 7 classes was the elements of art. I created a note packet with snipets of worksheets and information that I "borrowed" from Pinterest.
