Tropical Modernism is the style of architecture that emulates the minimalist aesthetic of Modern architecture, while responding to the climatic and environmental conditions of the tropics. Like Modernism, it focuses on functionality and avoid forms of ornamentation. It also makes use of techniques required in tropical architecture, such as sun shading and cross ventilation.
