Amber Johnson on Instagram: "Sometimes it’s fun to add words to a quilt! Iron-on fabric words are a quick and easy way to do it. See my last reels (part 1 and 2) for how to make the actual words and adhere them to fabric. Now it’s time to stitch them to the background fabric. Here’s what you do:

1. Use coordinating thread that matches your letters. 
2. Top stitch around each letter and around all the holes in each letter using a straight stitch and a 1/8” seam allowance. You can use more decorative stitches but this is the least noticeable - which is what I wanted. I just eyeballed the 1/8” seam allowance. 
3. Stitch in place or make a knot at the beginning and end of your stitching.
