IndieWebCamp Berlin Introduction is the opening session of IndieWebCamp Berlin 2019!

IndieWebCamp Berlin organizers will lead you through:

Day 1 Introduction

  1. Announce: Welcome to the fifth IndieWebCamp Berlin!
  2. Introduce co-organizers: Tantek Γ‡elik, Yulia Startsev, Martijn van der Ven
  3. Show code-of-conduct, contact an organizer for any reason anything is not awesome
  4. Also show Mozilla Community Participation Guidelines (video), since Mozilla is hosting the event.
  5. Photo policy: use red stickers for no, yellow for please ask
  6. Tools: IRC/Slack, this wiki, https://etherpad.indieweb.org/2019-Berlin
  7. Live stream: on by default, if you don't want to be on the live stream, pick seats not visible in the video (e.g. back two rows in the main room)
  8. Stickers and pronouns β€” write your personal pronouns on your name badges you got from security
  9. Overview of IndieWebCamp Berlin day 1

Barcamp sessions introduction

  1. Intro to how Barcamp sessions are scheduled: write THREE THINGS on a notecard:
    1. session name,
    2. your name,
    3. session #hashtag - used for tagging and etherpad.indieweb.org/hashtag
  2. Session scheduling!
  3. Summit leaders call *start your sessions* at start time
  4. During sessions, appoint at least one person to take notes in etherpad
