Due to the increase in the usage of the mobile devices, the security and threats have become challenge for the various stakeholders in the complete mobile payment system. All the stakeholders try to make the system secure for the threat free payments. But still the malware attacks and malicious users are considered to be the hindrance in the mobile payment networks at the users and servers end. All these hindrances need to identified and security protocols need to be applied for safe and trusted utility of the applications. All the mobile payment applications register the user's data and also the payment details which require safety of the data itself. For the safe payment network and data of the users the authors have identified certain prevention measures taken by the stakeholders. The implementation of the biometric system which secures the payments and data through identification and authentication of the users. There are implementation of the SSL layers at the server's side for secure transactions at the servers side, usage of the secured PIN, various other preventive measures is discussed by the authors in the paper.

This paper presents a technique for secure object level motion detection which yields more accurate results. To achieve this, python code has been used along with various machine learning libraries. The detection algorithm uses the advantage of background subtraction and fed in data to detect even the slightest movement this system makes use of a webcam to scan a premise and detect movement of any sort; on the recognition of any activity it immediately sends an alert message to the owner of the system via mail. Any person requiring a surveillance system can use it.

ABSTRACT Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects a siza... more ABSTRACT Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects a sizable fraction of the population and degrades the quality of life. Levodopamine (L-Dopa) is the first-line treatment drug for PD and remains ubiquitously used. However, the drug response prediction of L-Dopa is still an exigent task and there is an unresolved absence of any substantial biomarkers for a robust prediction of L-Dopa response for a robust prediction of L-Dopa response in Parkinson’s disease. The present study intends to develop a robust prediction model to predict the L-Dopa drug response in PD using machine learning approaches. This work intended to utilize the MJFF Levodopa Response Study data of Parkinson’s subjects with conclusive pre-clinical and clinical assessments for resolving the significantly impending task of drug response prediction. The problem was identified as a classification task which employed four different supervised machine learning classification algorithms for data analysis and predictive learning. The underlying task of predictive classification of drug response classified the responders as “good” and “bad,” based on comprehensive analysis on the selected feature space which identified the participants with an improvement in the symptoms as “good” responders and the ones with degraded or no improvement in the symptoms as “bad” responders. The decision tree’s (classification and regression tree) classification accuracy was 88.89% (area under receiver operating characteristics curve 0.9) for predicting levodopamine response. The presence or absence of the symptoms along with Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) scores and Hoehn and Yahr scale (H and Y) scores were recognized as the most distinguishing feature subset. The research stipulates the required preliminary evidence to the adaptive advancement of decision trees as an illuminating technique that can facilitate the prediction of the drug treatment response for Parkinson’s disorder, however, an extended effort is necessary to provide efficient predictive performance.

After the analysis process the next step in the process is to implement the result in achieving higher efficiency. The process involves use of proper classification and clustering tool which helps us in managing big dataset generated by the IoT appliances. In this paper we have covered value points and challenges faced while applying predictive analytics on IoT so that the huge dataset generated by the IoT devices can be utilized to make life easier and accomplish the goal of smart automation.

Telomerase has emerged as an important primary target in anticancer therapy. It is a distinctive ... more Telomerase has emerged as an important primary target in anticancer therapy. It is a distinctive reverse transcriptase enzyme, which extends the length of telomere at the 3' chromosomal end, and uses telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) and telomerase RNA template-containing domains. Telomerase has a vital role and is a contributing factor in human health, mainly affecting cell aging and cell proliferation. Due to its unique feature, it ensures unrestricted cell proliferation in malignancy and plays a major role in cancer disease. The development of telomerase inhibitors with increased specificity and better pharmacokinetics is being considered to design and develop newer potent anticancer agents. Use of natural and synthetic compounds for the inhibition of telomerase activity can lead to an opening of new vistas in cancer treatment. This review details about the telomerase biochemistry, use of natural and synthetic compounds; vaccines and oncolytic virus in therapy that suppress the telomerase activity. We have discussed structure-activity relationships of various natural and synthetic telomerase inhibitors to help medicinal chemists and chemical biology researchers with a ready reference and updated status of their clinical trials. Suppression of human TERT (hTERT) activity through inhibition of hTERT promoter is an important approach for telomerase inhibition.

A series of novel 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives with substituted phenyl ring were designed and syn... more A series of novel 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives with substituted phenyl ring were designed and synthesized with an objective of discovering newer anti-cancer agents targeting thymidine phosphorylase enzyme (TP). The 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives were synthesized by simple and convenient methods in the lab. Chemical structure of the all the synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral methods and evaluated for cytotoxicity by MTT method against two breast cancer cell lines (MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231). Further, results of TP assay identified that 1,3,4-oxadiazole molecules displayed anti-cancer activity partially by inhibition of phosphorylation of thymidine. The TP assay identified SB8 and SB9 as potential inhibitors with anti-cancer activity against both the cell lines. The molecular docking studies recognized the orientation and binding interaction of molecule at the active site amino acid residues of TP (PDB: 1UOU). Acute toxicity studies of compound SB8 at the dose of 5000 mg/kg has identified no signs of clinical toxicity was observed. The SARs study of synthesized derivatives revealed that the substitution of phenyl ring with electron withdrawing group at ortho position showed significant TP inhibitory activity compared to para substitution. The experimental data suggests that 1,3,4-oxadiazole with substituted phenyl can be taken as a lead for the design of efficient TP inhibitors and active compounds which can be taken up for further studies.

The purpose of managing pain is to reduce the trauma and improve the patient comfort with better quality of life. Tramadol is a centrally acting weak μ-opioid receptor analgesic and is a racemic mixture of (+)-tramadol and (-)-tramadol enantiomers. Tramadol is used worldwide and is listed in many medical guidelines for pain management. The (+)-tramadol has greater affinity for μ-opioid receptor and provides additional prevention of 5- hydroxy tryptamine reuptake, while the (-)-tramadol is a successful noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor and intensifies its release by activating the auto receptor. Tramadol is prescribed to relieve moderate to severe pain management in patients. Tramadol does not show much serious adverse effects without any dependency potential in therapeutic doses as seen in other opioids, like morphine. Tramadol metabolite M1 also has μ-opioid receptor agonist activity, but it faces poor blood brain barrier permeability. In this review, we report the complete updated status of Tramadol along with its chemistry, synthesis, pharmacology, medicinal uses, adverse effects and its combinations available in the market. We have also covered Tramadol patents so that a complete overview provides a broader perspective for future designing of its derivatives and increase their potential use for pain management in terminal cancer patients.

A series of novel 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione derivatives were designed, synthesized and evaluated ... more A series of novel 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione derivatives were designed, synthesized and evaluated for in vitro anticancer activity against breast cancer (MCF-7) cell line and thymidine phosphorylase. The synthesis of target compounds was performed by cyclization reaction using aromatic amines and carbon disulphide to get mannich bases. The synthesized compound 2j exhibited the most potent anticancer activity against MCF-7 cell line. Compounds 2d, 2j, 2o and 2h showed potent thymidine phosphorylase inhibitory activity. The SAR study revealed that the substitution of phenyl ring with electron withdrawing group at R position and less bulky amines group at R position of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione ring showed significant growth inhibitory activity. Further in silico ADMET properties of synthesized compounds were calculated along with molecular docking to study the binding mode of the compounds in the active site of thymidine phosphorylase (TP). The molecular docking studies showed that amines group have good binding interaction on active site residues of TP such as compounds 2j and 2o exhibited hydrogen bond interaction with amino acid residues GLY152, THR151 and HIS116 of thymidine phosphorylase (PDB ID: 1UOU). The result of biological activity and docking study revealed that amines group at R point of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione moiety is essential for anticancer activity.
