Abstract
We propose in this paper a theoretical model to analyse the consequences of competition in networks characterised by different technological systems. We draw inspiration from the model of Demange-Ponssard (1986), by putting the emphasis on the incompatibility of technologies used by the protagonists to analyse competitive dynamics on the market. In this context, we show that the functioning of market without any state regulation results in ineffective competition and in the deterioration of the collective welfare.
