Abstract
This paper explores the opportunities and challenges that the promotion of European integration among Galician youth currently faces. We first examine the obstacles that the region faces, which revolve around a lack of awareness, representation and pro-European civil society organizations, a limited knowledge of the English language and geographical isolation. However, Galicia is a region that enjoys unique opportunities, which we then explore, such as a lack of Euroscepticism, strong cultural ties with other European regions, the Camiño de Santiago, the region's key role in the maritime and artificial intelligence sectors, and low third-level education costs. We conclude by proposing a series of recommendations to better equip the region of Galicia with the tools and resources needed to promote Europeanism among young people. Through our recommendations, we aim to foster a sense of European identity and solidarity among young people in Galicia, which is essential for the further integration of Galicia into the European Union.
