Abstract
The report is dedicated to research artistic products being among the traditional «patronized goods», which are created in the sphere of culture and arts. The main aim of the report is to empirically test the well-known theoretical regularity – the «price disease» – applied to statistical data characterizing the activities of Russian theatres, concert agencies and museums. In this connection, the formulation of three indices measuring the lagging labour productivity, catching-up dynamics of wages, and higher-than-anticipated growth of ticket prices is substantiated in the report as compared to corresponding parameters of macroeconomic dynamics. Among the principal findings of the research the basic and modified «price disease» model for patronized goods is to be mentioned, which describes the income deficit dynamics against the three-dimensional background of these fundamental factors, as well as their calibration for arts entities.
