Dava (Soot's Java Decompiler) is dated and known to be buggy (https://github.com/soot-oss/soot/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aopen%20dava) Meanwhile, there is no real interest by anyone to maintain it. The code is really old and in a rough shape. Furthermore, Dava was tightly integrated in several core classes.
