This project goal is to provide accurated and up to date geographic data of all administrative subdivisions of Brazil.

All data was compiled from SIDRA (IBGE's Automatic Recovery System) data sets by IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics).

The compiled data are available into the following formats:

• Data Interchange: JSON, MessagePack, UBJSON, XML and YAML

• Database: Firebird Embedded, SQL and SQLite 3

• Spreadsheet: Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, Office Open XML Workbook and OpenDocument Spreadsheet

• Tabular Text: CSV and TSV

Changes are detailed in the change log.

All data compiled here are public domain under the Public Domain Dedication and License.

The source code is licensed under the MIT License.
