This terrifying thing is necessary because when elemental-toolkit is built against SL Micro 6.1, it uses a newer version of glibc than is available on SLE Micro 5.5 hosts, which means `elemental upgrade` fails with "/tmp/elemental: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.32' not found (required by /tmp/elemental)" when run in the host chroot. We can work around this by bind mounting /lib64 from the bci-base:15.7 upgrade container over the host's /lib64, before invoking `elemental upgrade`. But, we only want to do this if we really know we need to, because in subsequent upgrades (once the host is already running SL Micro 6.1), /lib64 is actually a symlink to /usr/lib64, and bind mounting over that breaks other things. Also, it's not necessary anymore anyway, because the host OS at that point already has the new glibc. Related-to: harvester#7025 Signed-off-by: Tim Serong <tserong@suse.com>
