My name is Daniel and I am an open-source technology afficionado. I am a Backend Web Developer with experience in Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla. Not all of my projects are public (yet). In my spare time I maintain the software on several servers (NixOS) and routers (OpenWRT). I even manage my own email server with the help of NixOS.
My infrastructure skills comprise of containerization with Docker, as well as web server management using Nginx, Apache and Caddy, complemented by services like Cloudflare and Platform.sh for optimal performance and security.
Collaboration is key in my workflow, and I actively use tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, and Slack to manage projects and communicate effectively with teams. I am comfortable working across various operating systems, including NixOS, Debian, Ubuntu, OpenWrt, and Kali, and I have a keen interest in mobile operating systems, particularly /e/, Android, and LineageOS.
My development environment is powered by VSCodium, and I utilize a range of software tools, including Insomnia, Wireshark, GIMP, to enhance productivity and creativity.
MySQL and MariaDB are among my primary choices for relational database management, those provide robust performance and reliability for web applications.
As an advocate for open-source and collaborative knowledge, I proudly endorse initiatives like the Internet Archive, Wikipedia, the Linux Foundation, GNOME, and the Tor Project. I am always eager to learn and grow, and I look forward to contributing to innovative projects that make a difference.
