👋 Howdy, I'm Dan!
I’m a developer and technologist with a lifelong passion for building and tinkering — I built my first computer at age eight with my Grandad. I work across Linux, open source software, and web development, with experience in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Terminal Applications in Python, Bash, and C#. I also have a strong interest in infrastructure, using tools like Docker Compose and SSH, and I’m currently exploring Unity 🤖.
Beyond coding, I run a homelab server hosting 30+ Docker containers (and counting), including a Minecraft server. This gives me hands-on experience with containerization, networking, and self-hosted applications, as well as the fun of experimenting with new tools and setups. I’ve worked with a wide range of operating systems, from Arch, Fedora, and Ubuntu to Windows and BSD-based systems like pfSense and OPNsense. My flexibility with tools and languages means I can pick up new technologies quickly — especially with good documentation or hands-on exploration.
Today, I run a Fedora-powered ASUS TUF Gaming A15 with an RTX 3060 and Ryzen™ 7, alongside a suite of peripherals that support both my development work and hobbies: a 1440p monitor, wireless gaming headset, mechanical keyboard, precision mouse, and more. Whether I’m coding, experimenting with infrastructure, or diving into hardware projects, I’m always looking for the next challenge to learn from ✨.
