Daedalus and icarus story

A scene showing the greek mythological story of Icarus and Daedalus that gave rise to the idiom "Don't fly too close to the sun." It was important to me to create this artwork as historically correct as I possibly could. They're flying above the island Crete, from where they escaped, above the Aegean sea. They're both wearing ancient bracelets from the METMuseum collection.

We assume that we’re not cut out to aim straight for the top. We believe that the kind of people who can fly high have better wings immune to melting.
