Creoidotus cestatii has to be one of my favourite fungus. When seen from above it seems so common and innocuous, just a white crust attached to the underside of a dead twig. But once turned over and viewed from its lower surface it becomes a fabulous combination of shapes and colours, gills and swirls, love this! Putt Woods nr Faversham

Because of the continuous rain we've had, i've been unable to mow the lawn for about the last 6 weeks. During that time we've had loads of mushrooms growing instead, in fact they might be toadstools as they are white/cream on the top and bottom. So after hand picking over 75 of them, I kept a few back to take some macro shots and then tried different post-processing techniques to bring out their form and structure. So here's version no.1. Hope you like it.
