I continue to have 10 too many projects. My loss your gain. This little project has limitless potential. CLean US title, low miles, (230,00KM - 100K miles )
It is what it is and I am offering it as it is. I have driven in approximately 500miles. IT ONLY HAS FRONT BRAKES, I would firmly recommend a trailer pick up. It runs great, has a strong and solid driveline, the interior is respectable and the body is average, maybe a little better, but don't think there isn't rust. I think it a far better than average "project truck" and really just about an average over all example., with the big giant plus of being a diesel w/ 5 speed.
No offers, all or none.
I will have more photos tomorrow--- a variety of technical issues...
The vehicle I have here for sale belonged to me way back when. When I got my diesel, I sold it to my boss, who had it sitting for about 7years. I bought it back with a friend back in '21, who was going to put it back on the road. We took apart the interior and patched the two holes we found in the floor. Then it sat like that until today. The friend is dealing with health issues, the "c" word, and wants/ needs money for obvious reasons.
Now, I have attached the mud thread which shows the work that was done to this truck. While in my possession, it got a bunch of use.
I'm gonna list the good first, and then the bad.
Good:
Running and driving truck when taken apart.
Has clean interior bits.
Comes with a nice spare frame we were gonna swap...

This is my 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser. I have had it for five years now and gotten an extensive amount of work done to it. most recently Including a brand new small block chevy 350 with only 2,135 miles on the motor, an Holley sniper EFI kit, new Knuckles, new fuel lines, fly wheel, alternator, starter, water pump, front wheel bearings, transfer case rebuild. All done at Overland Cruisers and more miscellaneous things done as well. while I have had a lot of work done to it there are things that still could be done to it. there is a minimal amount of rust around the roof line and interior of driver and passenger doors. However I have a donor roof and doors that would come with the vehicle. the center console is not OEM but I have an OEM...
I’m looking to quick sale my FJ62 and need an authentic pricing point from the people who know best. Looking to be fair, I’m reasonable. Gathering some recent photos and maintenance records. Not currently running (transmission). Heating issue previous see posts. Some new parts here and there but predominantly stock gathering maintenance binder as well. Please ih8mud fam give some input on a realistic listing price prior to offers. 277,000 miles. Minor rust and drivers side passenger door (dad backed into it with an excavator super blessed for just a little dent) but otherwise great body and frame. Looking at selling by new years. I’ve been reluctant and emotional but circumstances I want it to go to a good home and a good person. Cheers!
Hi @all hard post for me to write, but its time for me to pass my 84 copper brown metallic 60 on to the next caregiver. I am the 3rd owner and this truck has lived its entire 40 years in Colorado. She was purchased in May 1985 by at Bighorn Motors,Toyota in Glenwood Springs, CO Sold to "Toms Clinic Pharmacy". So it was the local pharmacists truck, you will find his flys still stuck in the drivers headliner. Second owner was a family/son who purchased the truck in Glenwood but then moved to Estes Park where they ran a Inn on the edge of the Fall River entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. They owned it from June 2011 to Sept 2016. Thats where I purchased the truck in September of 2016.
Its been a great vehicle and I recently...
Hi Mudder Community,
I’m in the market for a white FJ60 (any year, it required me to put something) with a brown interior. I know it’s a pretty specific request (and I’ve seen some great trucks in other colors), but what can I say. No rush on the search, and my budget is $20K–$34K.
Must-Haves:
Mostly stock
No or minimal rust
No huge lifts
Good condition and well-maintained
No project cars
No body work needed
Preferences:
Intact emission systems
“Lowish” milage or rebuild

Located in the Northwest or West Coast
I’ve looked at a number of trucks but have, unfortunately, encountered some "smoke and mirrors"—from massive rust on supposedly "rust-free" trucks to dangerous brakes and mechanical issues in vehicles advertised...

After 9 years of West Coast adventures, it's time to part with my beloved FJ60, “Pennie.” Bought from a reputable collector in Nashville, shipped to Upstate NY, then to LA—this vintage beauty has been with me every step of the way. Asking: $32,000 OBO
As its third owner, I’ve kept her in solid shape, with plenty of love and care. I handle the small stuff myself, but leave the bigger repairs to the pros at Pinkies in West Hollywood who have worked on her for 6 years (highly recommended shop).
Here’s the breakdown:
Exterior: Great condition with just a few rust spots and small dings from daily adventures.
Interior: Classic 1983 vibes, including the original radio and dashboard crack (it’s got character!). Brand New headliner as of...
After putting less than a hundred miles in the past couple years, the time has come to sell our 1988 FJ-62 Land Cruiser. We've had it for close to a decade, spent many miles exploring and enjoying it, just with a new little one see ourselves driving our 80 and don't have the time to really make the 62 shine like it deserves.
Currently has 232,864 miles and clean title in our names.
Body is in decent shape for an almost 40 year old vehicle, typical dings and paint wear. Couple years ago I rolled a log into the drivers front fender, spent just enough time to hammer it close to shape then shoot it with some 'color matched' paint from Napa. It's close but not exact, plus I'm no body guy.
When we got it is had the typical gutter seam...
Price: $11,000 (but open to offers)
I decided I need to sell the 1984 FJ60 that I have been working on the past couple of years. I’m moving across the country and won’t have a place for it for several months after the move. I’m in the middle of fixing a timing plate gasket oil leak (that is why the grill, headlights, etc are off in some of the photos but I do have these parts not shown). I should be done with this replacement within the next couple of weeks.
I’ve done the following work on the rig since I’ve had it: replaced the master and slave clutch cylinders, new brakes all around, new clutch, flywheel, and throw out bearing, new oil pan gasket, new rear main seal, the carb was rebuilt by Mark at Mark’s off-road, new bvsv sensors...
1989 FJ62 Toyota Land Cruiser, 169k miles, always lived in Atlanta, GA area. 3rd owner and have owned it since March 2012. Clean title, pristine interior, A/C blows cold, no rust whatsoever, never been in an accident, never been off-road, no mods other than an updated center console and roof rack. It's been a weekend car all along. We haven't had a garage in about 8 years so the roof paint was pretty beat up and recently had it resprayed. Have before and after pictures. Has a small leak in the back of the oil pan, comes with a new gasket and pan, haven't had time to get it installed.
Asking $33,000
