Walgreens Boots Alliance is a global health care, pharmacy, and retail company. It operates tens of thousands of retail locations under the Walgreens and Duane Reade names in the U.S.; Boots in the U.K., Ireland, and Thailand; Benavides in Mexico; and Ahumada in Chile. The company’s health care segment owns VillageMD, a health care provider with primary care, specialty care, and urgent care divisions; CareCentrix, a home health care provider, and Shields, a hospital pharmacy system. Walgreens Boots Alliance stock has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since 2018.
