Needle felted landscape

Hand felted wool roving on felt background. Felted piece is 3" wide x 5" high, framed in a shadow box. Outside dimensions of the frame are 6" wide x 8" high and 1" deep. Stands alone on table or can be hung on the wall.

WIP . More layers added to build up the forest floor. I’ve felted thick mats of wool, then cut shapes of moss and felted them in to give the depth. Lots more to do ! When people see my art pictures they are surprised to find out that my landscapes are needle felted wool! Some have to actual touch the picture to believe me. I don't mind if they touch

Happy Saturday! I'm continuing with the embroidery hoop creations, and I think you'll like the whimsical animals I've got lined up for you. Meet my peeking bunny! I wanted this felt bunny to look like he was just popping into the frame--slightly off center and a bit goofy looking. I think he turned out just fine! I'll have this guy and more at the Strawberry Swing in Kansas City on August 3!
