You can turn a double bed into a sofa by making or buying a daybed frame and decorating it with pillows. Daybeds come in different sizes, and while most do not come with mattresses, some have them.

The Emma Sofa Bed is a 3 seater sofa, which easily converts into a double bed or two single beds. All you have to do is pull up the trundle bed. It can sleep two people comfortably.
