The Beltone Selectometer, introduced in 1947, very probably the first MHA to be used for fitting vacuum tube hearing aids.

Note. The Selectometer was designed to demonstrate the Monopac hearing aid (discussed in the text), a revolutionary hearing aid for the times. (Also see Figure 10.)
