Human activity has been the main source of pollution on the planet, causing
the contamination of our surroundings and the alteration of the ecological balance
of the planet. It poses a risk to the health of all living beings on the planet.
The WHO already states that the majority of citizens live in areas where
environmental pollution affects not only human health but also that of thousands of
species of animals and plants.
Water pollution; It affects rivers, underground water sources, lakes and the
sea when polluting waste is released. It affects animal and plant species and also
humans as it turns drinking water into a resource unfit for consumption. Industrial
waste, insecticides or pesticides are some of the waste that also affects domestic
use such as detergents used in washing clothes or oil spills.
End deforestation; forests are water sinks, they purify pollutants and
protect water, which is key to environmental balance.
