MONUMENT OF THE THREE CROSSES
Uno de los lugares más históricos de Cali es el monumento de las
tres cruces o mas conocido como el cerro de las tres cruces.
One of the most historic places in Cali is the monument of the three
crosses or more known as the hill of the three crosses.

Está ubicado en el corregimiento de Montebello, al noroccidente de
la ciudad y tiene 1480 metros sobre el nivel del mar. En su cima se
encuentran el monumento de las Tres Cruces, una estación de
policía y varias antenas de telecomunicaciones.

How often do you go there?
Normalmente voy algunos lunes festivos del año o en la semana
santa, que es donde mas personas suben al cerro en especial los
feligreses como muestra de su fe.
Según cuenta la historia, el diablo se apareció en el cerro y maldijo
a los habitantes de Cali, así que para contrarrestar esta maldición
un padre organizó la construcción de las cruces para encerrarlo
dentro del cerro, el 3 de mayo de 1837.
Inicialmente estaban hechas en guadua, pero posteriormente se
hizo el cambio por las actuales de concreto y se inauguró el 6 de
enero de 1938. Atrapando finalmente al diablo.

Después de llegar a la cima puedes disfrutar de una vista genial, se
ve toda la ciudad. Algunas personas venden bebidas refrescantes,

puro y ver toda la ciudad donde nací.
