Since the mid 90s this brilliant vocalist / producer has been pleasing our ears with his output, whether as collaborator on the incredible Swell Session project with fellow Swedish producer Andreas Saag, Vocalising many artist/producer’s works or releasing sharp and glitchy electronic beats as Pinku Vääty.

Jonatan Bäckelie now makes this impressive comeback with 'Is It True?' under his Ernesto & the Basement Gospel moniker, featuring a rich blend of low-slung beats and intricate musical arrangements that highlight his angelic vocals. The release is further enhanced by a diverse extended remix package from label mates ATJAZZ and PEACEY, as well as Swedish production duo DIRTYTWO, each remix illuminating different aspects of the original while maintaining its captivating vocal flow and strong hook.
