Review: Gretsch G2655T Streamliner Center-Block Jr. Double Cutaway with Bigsby | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Gretsch G2655T Streamliner Center-Block Jr. is a stellar instrument that balances affordability with Gretsch's iconic style and sound. Its compact size and lightweight build make it a joy to play, while the Broad’Tron pickups deliver powerful, versatile tones suitable for rock, blues, and pop. The guitar's semi-hollow construction and Bigsby vibrato add to its charm, offering smooth playability and impressive feedback control. While the pickups lean towards a darker sound, they shine with distortion, making this a versatile choice for varied musical styles. Overall, the G2655T is a well-crafted guitar that delivers both in looks and performance, making it a worthy addition to any guitarist's collection.

Fantastic!

This guitar is truly amazing! Feels great to play, fast neck, and to top it off, it looks fantastic! However, I do have one gripe with it, and that's the bridge pickup is EXTREMELY aggressive. For some, that's a dream come true, but for me, it's just a tiny bit too hairy.

Other than that, that's it! I love it so far, and this guitar won't be going away anytime soon!
