Speedy deletion nomination of Gods of War Motorcycle Club
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gods of War Motorcycle Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 2602:306:3357:BA0:786C:B129:D14F:7CE3 (talk) 00:07, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Sandbox
editPer your request I've placed the deleted content into your sandbox at User:JamesT5723/sandbox for you to develop with sourcing. Please read WP:NOTE for guidelines on notability/inclusion in Wikipedia. Wikipedia judges notability by the level of detailed coverage in major independent media, not by a list of subjective attributes. This provides a simple basis for inclusion: if journalists and scholars consider a subject notable, then so does Wikipedia. It also allows a subject to satisfy Wikipedia policies on verifiability and reliable sourcing. If there is no substantial coverage in the world at large, then the subject is not (yet) notable. I did a quick check and don't see enough to sustain an assertion of notability, but you may be able to find sources that I didn't. If you need help let me know. Proposed deletion of Gods Of War Motorcycle Club
editThe article Gods Of War Motorcycle Club has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- no third party sources or real claim of notability
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DGG ( talk ) 22:00, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

- I know there's a lot about Wikipedia that makes no sense and seems unfair, but I hope you take the long-term view and spend some time understanding why it is this way. I think it's almost always a big disappointment when someone comes to Wikipedia and the first thing they do is create a whole new article. It's much better to take it slow, do a few minor edits on a lot of different articles, and work your way up to making a new article. It's also very hard to cover topics you're personally connected to. In my opinion, it's much better to edit stuff about motorcycle clubs, but not your own club. Or make some improvements on articles about bikes, but not your own bike. Or work on geography articles, but stay away from your own home town. At first. Once you know more about Wikipedia, it's easier to work on those topics.
It's good to work on things you care about, but not care too much. If you care too much, you can lose perspective. If you spend a few months making minor edits, let yourself make mistakes and don't feel too bad if someone corrects you, then it is much easier. Instead of having to swallow a vast library of Wikipedia guidelines and policies, you can learn about them bit by bit as the need arises. Maybe after six months or a year, you'll either be able to accept that there's no Gods of War article, or you'll have figured out a way to keep the article. But you have to give it some time.
If they do delete the article (and I've been wrong before so who knows?) be sure to post a note asking to userfy the article if you want to keep it around for future use. Or just save a copy on your computer.
As I said at Talk:Gods Of War Motorcycle Club, you can find many friendly editors to answer your questions at WikiProject Motorcycling is a good place to ask, or Help desk, Teahouse, or New contributors' help page. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 18:31, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
