the iamge File:Breakfast at Tamahan Ryokan, Kyoto.jpg is mistakenly used
editSome editors of Wikipedia Japan claims this photo File:Breakfast at Tamahan Ryokan, Kyoto.jpg is not exactly Kaiseki(懐石).
Here are the reasons they mentioned.
- Kaiseki is originally banquet menu. Kaiseki breakfast is not very common.
- Four seasons are very important elements of Kaiseki. There are often the leaves of the seasons on the plates to depict the season. The season vegetable and fish are also essential for Kaiseki.
- As it's mentioned on Kaiseki article, "a bowl of miso soup and three side dishes", that's also another essential definition of Kaiseki.
- This photo does not have Hassun, Mukozuke, Takiawase (you find more about these on the Kaiseki article)
- Tome-wan and Yakimono (fish in this photo) can not be on the table at the same time. Tome-wan comes at the end of the course. It means this is not full-course menu. Kaiseki is full dinners.
This photo is not used in Wikipedia Japan Kaiseki article as you can see. It's very wonderful photo of traditional-Japanese-style-inn breakfast but not Kaiseki.--Takora D (talk) 15:39, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
