Requested move

edit

A move has been requested for Chudes to Chud: Chud is currently a redirect to this page: this would be replaced by a disambig link to point people to this page after the move. If you have any comments about the proposed move, please add them to the discussion at Talk:Chudes. Physchim62 (talk) 13:31, 13 November 2005

Line change

edit

I'm changing the line in Cultural Reference about Clerks II, because it directly contradicts the movie. Dante is asked why he always has 2 attractive women fighting over him when he's so ugly, not whether he has the "ability to land an attractive girl". Fair use rationale for Image:CHUD poster.jpg

edit

Image:CHUD poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Refs

edit

The cultural references section was the only reason this page was worth a damn. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.230.184.192 (talk) 00:29, 13 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since nobody actually asked Edmund before now, I went ahead and did so, and he confirmed the name C.H.A.D. is indeed a reference. I hadn't even looked here to see if anyone else had noticed. Wikipedia tends to dislike Cultural References on things like this, so I'm rather astounded it was even there. http://www.formspring.me/EdmundM/q/400190223683714377 --68.6.182.39 (talk) 05:54, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Isn't there a Simpsons reference, in the episode where Homer flashes back to a visit to NYC? "And then the Chuds came" or something like that. Later on, Marge refers to "the pimps and the chuds".

Plot

edit

The plot is incomplete: can anyone improve it?

Article needs to be Expanded

edit

This article in missing information on the film's production. This should be added to the article and more information on the film's reception should be added to the article as well.--Paleface Jack (talk) 23:58, 28 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Missing Information

This article is missing important information on the film's production. This needs to be added to the article so that it meets Wikipiedia's standards of a well developed article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:55, 28 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Chapo Trap House

edit

"Chlopo's Chapped Mouse"? Sounds like an alt-right chud came through here feeling a little butthurt. Reverted.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.246.15.235 (talk) 21:04, 5 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Referencing in modern internet culture?

edit

Chud is a term used to mock alt right internet users, maybe that could be added in the legacy section? Chejthe (talk) 09:21, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Is it notable? Is it encyclopediaic? Is it referenced in any works that are not, in fact, just themselves examples of this mockery? If so, be the change you want to see. 2.24.145.57 (talk) 09:41, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
