Acta Zoologica primary

edit

This article is the default for links pointing to "Acta Zoologica", as that was the name of this journal from 1922 to 2002. No other journal is or has been named just Acta Zoologica. Other journals, incorporating the term "Acta Zoologica" in their title, are listed on the Acta Zoologica (disambiguation) page. A hatnote has been placed at the top of this article to alert readers to the existence of that disambiguation page and the journals that are listed there. --Bejnar (talk) 22:57, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Journal name

After this article was moved a few weeks ago, I posted the below comments on the talk page of Stemonitis, but did not yet get a response. Perhaps other editors here have more information? --Randykitty (talk) 08:49, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, you moved this article from Acta Zoologica, but if I go to the journal's website, it's still just called "Acta Zoologica". Where did you get the fact that the name has changed? --Randykitty (talk) 12:24, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

  • PS: I cannot even find any evidence for the claim in the article that "Morphology and Evolution" was added as a subtitle... Unless you have a reliable source about the name change, perhaps this should be moved back to "Acta Zoologica". --Randykitty (talk) 13:03, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
  • Did you have time to look into this? Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 08:45, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
Nevermind. That link is not really helpful. The publisher produces material from Wikipedia and Public Domain sources. So, in essence, this is a mirror publication. In any case, I am finding no evidence for this as the name of the journal. I reccomend moving it back to the correct titile that is listed on the Wiley-Blackwell site, the Library of Congress catalog entry, the World Cat entry, Hollis Classic - Harvard Library, the Boston University Libraries, and so on...Steve Quinn (talk) 13:42, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm thinking about that, too, but would like to hear from the editor who performed this move first to see why they did this. There might be something we're missing... --Randykitty (talk) 13:43, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
OK. Are you aware that this apparent mistake occured way back in 2009? Also, even the source cited, CNAH, lists this journal as "Acta Zoologica" - "Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters - Published regularly since 1920..." ---Steve Quinn (talk) 13:56, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
