id like to know what role motya played in the battle of western sicily that occured in 277 BC between the king Pyrrus and the carthiginians. was motya ever occupied by king Pyrrus or did he never take this place? this is a gap in information i would like to be reaveled. it is known that the towns of Panormus and Eryx were taken by King Pyrrus but he failed to take lilybauem. did king Pyrrus also take motya aswell? or did motya stay in the hands of the carthiginians during the battle of western sicily? 99.164.52.118 (talk) 17:16, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mozia merge

Why do we have 2 articles that are basically duplicates? Carlossuarez46 (talk) 19:34, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, since Motya seems to have occupied practically the entire island of Mozia there is no need for a separate article. --AlexanderVanLoon (talk) 11:17, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I have just merged Mozia into this article. Dionysodorus (talk) 00:16, 29 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
