Versioning

edit

I'm absoluetly right that exists a second 98 Plus! edition. I will check and add soon.

Does it work with Windows 3.1? It was announced in 1994. Stovetopcookies 13:34, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

No, each version was locked to the version it was named with. They aren't downlevel compatible and all features end up in the next OS rev. SchmuckyTheCat 14:48, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sidenote: Humor about this product...

edit

Just FYI, the version of the "Plus" logo that has a colored 'L' is a later version. The initial versions of this had a black 'L' and a colored bang.
The net result was that your eyes tended to ignore the "negative" lettering and you would tend to read it as
Microsoft PUS!
Clearly, someone pointed this out to marketing, because they eventually changed the color of the L to be colored with the other letters.
