editAs of 2024, Qatari citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 107 countries and territories, ranking the Qatari passport 46 in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley Passport Index.[1] As citizens of a GCC member country, citizens of Qatar are permitted free movement within the GCC member states,[2] in a manner similar to that of the European Union.
Starting at 1 December 2024, Qatar will be added to the United States Visa Waiver Program, therefore Qatari Passport holders will be able to travel to the United States for a maximum 90 days stay without the requirement of a visa. Making Qatar the first Arab country to get such exemption.[3]
