Pernell Saturnino (born 23 May 1962) is a percussionist from the Caribbean island of Curaçao. Saturnino joined the band Nos Antias as a teenager and toured the world with them.[1] As part of Paquito D'Rivera's band, he won the Best Latin Jazz Album Grammy Award in 2007 for Funk Tango.[2][3] He was nominated in the same category in 2006 for Diego Urcola's Viva.[2][4]

Pernell Saturnino is currently not living in Curaçao anymore. During the pandemic he experienced financial difficulties which led to the closure of his drum school. He is currently residing in The Netherlands. He has not been touring as much anymore due to tax evasion in the United States of America. He was not granted Visa anymore due to this issue.
