Kennedy Brooks (born October 8, 1998) is an American football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at Oklahoma.

Early years
editBrooks attended Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Texas.[1] During his high school career he had 7,658 yards and 96 touchdowns.[2] As a senior in 2016, he was the recipient of the Landry Award as the top player in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.[3] He committed to the University of Oklahoma to play college football.[4]
College career
editKennedy missed his first season at Oklahoma in 2017 with a shoulder injury and redshirted.[5] He returned from the injury in 2018, to rush for 1,056 yards on 119 carries with 12 touchdowns.[6]

Philadelphia Eagles
editOn April 30, 2022, Brooks was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles following the 2022 NFL draft.[9] He was waived on August 30, 2022, and signed to the practice squad the next day.[10][11] He was released on November 29. He signed a reserve/future contract on January 19, 2023.[12] He was released on August 29, 2023.[13]
Philadelphia Stars
editOn October 31, 2023, Brooks signed with the Philadelphia Stars of the United States Football League (USFL).[14] The Stars folded when the XFL and USFL merged to create the United Football League (UFL).[15]
Memphis Showboats
editOn January 5, 2024, Brooks was selected by the Memphis Showboats during the 2024 UFL dispersal draft.[16] He was waived on March 2, 2024.[17]
Saskatchewan Roughriders
editOn April 12, 2024, Brooks signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL).[18]
