Shaka Senghor entry

edit

Hello, I see that you have reverted my edits to this page, which I first saw on my "needs editing" section. Your reversion maintains an inaccurate fact (his current professional position), as well as a clearly negative tone. I have no connection to Senghor and never even heard of him until seeing this entry. Please restore the edit. Carrie McLaren (talk) 16:42, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Done. Sorry for the incovenience. 8086-PC (talk) 16:51, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Confusion regarding "promotional singles" on Michael Jackson pages

edit

Hello, I wanted to let you know that I undid several of your recent edits related to Michael Jackson's singles. The reason being is due to a lack of consensus on whether to differentiate singles that were commercially released and singles that were only released to radio stations, plus one song being exclusive to a promotional cassette. I think it would confuse readers on whether one song released before another, whether a song was "released" in the first place, etc. Please let me know how you feel on this, thank you. Thank you for noticing me. I think there's mutual confusion as the promotional recording article refers to a promotional single as "a single that is made available to radio stations, nightclubs, music publications, and other media outlets by a record label to promote a commercial single or album", which could apply to both "Butterflies" (released to US radio stations + physical promo releases) and "I'm So Blue" (released to Italian and Polish radio stations), as they were not directly available for purchase. On the other hand, there are various Lana Del Rey songs which are referred to as "promotional singles", but were directly made available for purchase as digital singles (such as "Looking for America"). I think that a consensus should be made within the community to settle on the 'correct' definition of the term. 8086-PC (talk) 09:12, 8 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
