I'm a retired computational chemist who did some minor editing before 2020, created a couple of starter pages in 2020, and now in 2024 have more time to create new pages and expand others, in particular for women scientists and rabbis but I find myself working on others as well. Fixing citation errors and trying to find missing citations is fun for me. Over time, I've been drawn to creating pages or more commonly improving pages started by others for people who weren't famous enough to catch a more experienced editor's attention for an article here but did have enough coverage in reliable sources for one.
I've edited pages about Philadelphia politics, including creating the section Councilmanic prerogative, adding a paragraph about the ward system in Philadelphia#Politics, and creating or updating pages of Philadelphia politicians. Also, I plan to put some time into pages I come across that I think need work.
Wish I'd found this citation tool earlier. It creates a filled-in, properly formatted citation template if you provide a DOI, URL, or ISBN value.
Also wondered how many people are active on English Wikipedia and with the "Wikipedia size & users" template I know the answer.
